CEDIA Asia Pacific has negotiated to bring three overseas experts in their respective fields to attend this year’s Expo (Melbourne 23-25 June) and are available for interviews during their brief stay in Australia.

 

All three gentlemen - THX head of training, John Dahl; HDMI technical specialist, Michael Heiss; and CEDIA head of technology, Dave Pedigo - will be conducting training sessions for CEDIA members during Expo and offering a rare opportunity for locally-based installers to have access to knowledge and expertise of roughly 100 years of collective experience from the trio.

 

Each of the gentlemen will be attempting to make themselves available for one-on-one interviews during their brief stays but spots are definitely limited. John Dahl is the THX Senior Fellow and Director of Education. He is a 40-year veteran of the consumer electronics industry who has specialised in training and education for most of those years. His particular talent is making difficult audio and video concepts clear to a wide audience. Working for THX allows Dahl to stay usefully neutral when discussing brands and technologies.

 

Michael Heiss has more than 35 years of experience in guiding the development and marketing of new technology products and services for firms such as Harman International, Deluxe Video and NBC Television. He is the author of four books on video technology and is a frequent presenter at CES, CEDIA, NSCA, InfoComm and VSDA. Heiss works with a wide range of clients assessing the impact of new technology and has been quoted as a consumer electronics authority by the Associated Press, the Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times, and other publications around the world.

 

Dave Pedigo is the Senior Director of Technology at CEDIA US. Dave oversees CEDIA’s Technology Council and helps identify and inform members and industry partners on emerging trends, threats and opportunities within the custom electronic channel.
