Experience it for yourself
Media are being given a free-of-charge first-hand opportunity to gain exposure to the specialised training that CEDIA members pay good money to attend.
Specialised courses are conducted by professional trainers with proficiencies in their chosen fields for CEDIA members who want to extend their knowledge and expertise in custom installation. The courses are run during the CEDIA Expo – 11-13 May at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.
A popular course this year is:
Using Technology to Manage Energy in the Home
Course Description: The homes you live in may come with a 10-year guarantee of some sort, but they’ll be used for much longer than that. CEDIA aims to make sure that they are useful throughout that period. A lot can change in that time - just think back 10 years. In the past decade two major developments have occurred - the rapid growth of the Internet and the growth in sustainability thinking among construction professionals. This presentation explores the headline issues and the choices available, at the same time demonstrating how some simple technological solutions can make a huge difference - for the homeowner and the rest of us.
Presented by Simon Wehr, Applications in Action Stage, Thursday 24 June, 12.00pm - 12.30pm.
HDMI Update (updated)
Course Description: The HDMI cable should be the easy part of the installation, but to date that hasn’t always been the case. What is HDMI 1.4? How do you cable for 3D to ensure reliable results now and into the future. This course answers all these questions and more.
Presented by David Meyer, Friday 25 June, 11.30am-1.00pm.
Other courses run by visiting US presenters include:
